CHAPTER ONE

Introduction

In definition the process of package water production and its hygienic practices. we must know what is water itself. water is a universal solvent, compound which contain two atoms of hydrogen and one atom of oxygen chemically combined in the ratio 2.1.water is basis of life as mans body needs it to carryout it function if the body organ should give health to man.it also aids internal body fluid comportment, a smaller percentage of the body weight of the adult female consist of water because female generally have a greater percentage of body fat than males. water and ion dissolved in it are distributed in two major compartment.

When blood pressure decrease,such as drinking shock,the thirst centre is activated,and the sensation of thirst is triggered,consumption of water increase,the blood volume and allows the blood pressure to increase to ward. When one look thoughtfully or critically one see and understands that if lokoja a dervice it name from nupe and lokongi,it mean before the twon was founded there are many lokongi around flying over the called lokoja and perhaps this accound for the reason why nupe called the town lukogia and not lokoja the next question is how did it come to exist there we must be very careful as to answer are given for when one take, if lokoja and it’s founder, one must know that lokoja come into existence in different period namely.

The Lokoja was not called Lokoja by then but model farm founded in 1841 and has it dimension as 16 miles (253/5kilometer)going down south by the combined flow of the majestic Nigeria and calmful Benue river and spreading in law and 4 miles.(62/5 kilometer)going west.

5.Yahaya mohammed markarfi 11,appointed 1954-1992

6.Mohamed kabir maikarfi , appointment 1916-1954.

By this authentic account it mean that the present lokoja began to have it traditional ruler 152years ago.

The position of lokoja has been formerly years or decade, unique in the whole of Nigeria for instance.

There are many forms of agriculture in the study area which they are fishery, farming, poultry but mainly fishery is the common among people the city of the lokoja.

MARKETS.

Mainly market were in lokoja where man buy and sell in the city there are intemational market, mummy market, parta market, adankolo market e.t.c

TRANSPORTATION

Thee are many form of transportation lokoja but only two (2)are mostly recognized they are motorcycle and vehicle and cycling in lokoja

ECONOMICS

There are many form of earning in the study area they are trading, bank, self employee such as furninture, vuiganizer, mechanical enginerrring, civil servant and many work that can bring money or income in lokoja.

PURPOSE OF STUDY

The purpose of studying this is to know the process of package water production and it’s hygienic practices in betlad global service venture and to make possible suggestion and recommendation to the venture and the public.

STATEMENT OF PROBLEM

The statement of studying this topic is to identify and inspect the process and production of package water, and how it can be improved,

Also to present reasonable data,useful recommendation means while the writer was faced with financial problumem.

JUSTIFICATION OF THE STUDY

This is to assemble the relevant information conceming the process and production of package water and it’s hygienic practices in betlad global service venture lokoja

To recommend how tto make the production of package water healthy for human consumption.

To identify ways to improve water quality obtained from the available source before packaging, to prevent water borne disease.

To recommend or identify means of hygienic treatment of water and the hygienic means of disposing leakages

IUSTIFICATION OF STUDY

The improper process of package water can lead to the outbreak of infection ordisease such as typhoid fever, diarrhea, cholera e t c

Poor production and storage of water can also lead to odour nuisance in the study area.

This project work is designed to identify the problem confronting the process and production of package water and suggest way out.

BROAD OBJECTIVE

The study of this project limited to the processing and production of package water stop and it’s hygienic processing which should involve and inclvde the hygienic handling, production, packaging for human consumption.

SPECIFIC OBJECTIVE

1 To investigate the problem associated with inadequate handling of water during production

2.To find out the sources of water use for production .

3.To identify the workable solution for handling of water from the processing, production, paclaaging and it’s hygienic practices for human consumption.

4.NUISANCE-According to public heaith law of northern Nigeria cap of 109 0f 1963 section 7 defined nuisance as any of omission, place or thing which is or may be dangerous, to life or injurious to health on property.

5.PRODUCTION:Is the process and method used to transform tangible input (raw material, semi finished good subassemblies) and intangible input that is suitable for use or has exchange value.

6.PACKAGE:Is an object or set of object wrapped in paper, usually in order to sent by post.

7.HYGIENIC:Is any practice or activity that you do to keep thing healthy and clean,washing.hand coughing into your elbow and regular house cleaning are all part of good hygiene.

8.CONSUMPTION:Is the process in which the substance of a thing is completely destroyed into something else consumption of good and service is the amount of them used in a particular time period.

9.WATER SUPPLY:This is the prouision of water by public utilities, commercial, organization and community endeavours.
