CHAPTER ONE

  • INRODUCTION

If one brings a small collection of strangers together in a restricted space and environment, provides a common goal and may be a few ground rules then a highly probable course of event will follow interaction between individuals is a basic requirement. Normally, individuals will differentially interact in sets of two or threes while seeking to interact with those with whom they share something in common that is interest skills and cultural background.

Again depending on the common goal, a few number of group will integrate into larger sets numbers with corresponding of ranking and further differentiation of roles of all of this seldom takes place without some conflict or disagreement: for example, fighting ower the distribution of resources, the choices of means and different sub goals, the development of what are appropriate norms, rewards and punishment.

By analogy sociologist may term these behaviour to territorial and dominance behaviours depending on the pressure of the common goals and on the various skills of individuals, differentiation of leadership dominance or authority will develop once these relationship solidify, with their defined roles norms, and sanctions, a sociological group will have been established.

Aggression is the mark of unsettled order sociological group coperation requires that both dominance order and territorial arrangements be settled with respect to the common goal and with respect to the partial group.

 

  • BACKGROUND OF THE STUDY

Sociological group consist of a number of individuals interacting with respect to common motives and goals to have an accepted division of labour that roles, to established statue that is social rank dominance relationship to accept norms and values with reference to matters relevant to the group and also development of accepted sanctions which can be praise and punishment of and when norm were respected or violated.

 

  • STATEMENT OF PROBLEMS

The general low income per head of most people in the rural areas of most countries of the world today is a pre-requisite for sociological group action and effect for self-reliance among sociological group themselves. This is the first and most important reason that account for the inception of sociological group cooperation.

Secondly, the under-privilege or developing nation appear not to give sociological group cooperation its pride of place in the economic setting their conception and attitude towards sociological group appears not to help in the growth and development of sociological group cooperation.

Another striking factor that triggers this research work is the fact that our people appear not to understand the impacts of sociological group In the national development.

More so, it is the non-chalant attitude of most people in the embracing the idea of sociological group as one of the variable instrument for the national development. In some developing countries, it is therefore on the going premise that this research work becomes necessary in the first instance.

 

  • PURPOSE OF THE STUDY

The impact of sociological group cannot be over emphasized however, a lot of problems abound of which this research work aims to solve objectively. The purpose of the study include

  1. To find out the lasting better problem solving abilities than the best three or more individuals can accomplish individually.
  2. To find out the lasting problem solution to the low income per head associated with most developing countries through the understanding of sociological group.
  3. To examine the various of our people from non-chalant attitude towards sociological group by unceasing the nations benefit from this group as it affects national development
  4. To identify the usefulness as a reference point to their understanding of sociological group as an instrument for group help and group reliance.
  5. To identify the problems associated with sociological group in National development.

 

  • SCOPE OF THE STUDY

The scope of this project work is to cover the aimed at investigating the way mbaitoli local government area Imo State can promote the sociological group in the community that is to say the role their play in promoting sociological group and how such the roles will influence sociological group in their community. If only mbaitoli government will contribute In sociological group by providing the necessary equipment such as land mechanization to the organization with all this the mbatoli government can help in promoting sociological group.

 

  • RESEARCH QUESTION

To guide this study, research question were formulate.

H.O: the existence of sociological group helps in solving problems of low income per head with most developing countries.

H.I: the existence of sociological group does not help in solving the problem of low income per head with most developing countries.

Ho: would the existence of sociological group helps solving the problems of how it was formed.

Hi: would the usefulness of sociological group serve a reference point for self help and self reliance?

Ho: would the existence of sociological group helps in solving the problem of how the groups function?

Hi: would the inability of government support towards sociological group affects its existence?

Ho: would lack of infrastructure encourage the existence of sociological group?

Hi: is government regulation of sociological group organization healthy to its existence?

Ho: would government effort try to curb problems associated with the Non-chalant attitudes of some people affects national development as regards to national development.

 

  • SIGNIFICANCE OF THE STUDY

A work of this nature is not without significance of relevance to some people, group nation and organization alike. It is on the premise therefore that the researcher outlined the following significance of the study.

  1. The study will provide grounds for the rural dwellers and the less privileged group seeding to improve their standard of living through self help and self reliance efforts such as sociological group.
  2. It is significance to any country in the quest to improve their economic development through sociological group.
  3. This research work will serve as a reference point to any itching to establish sociological group or embark on research towards improving social group in our society
  4. The society at large will benefit from nation activities or projects carried out by most sociological group.
  5. The study will assist in identifying various problems associated with sociological group towards national economy.
  6. Government will find existence useful as sociological group encourage economic and national development
  7. At the end of this research work, many people in our society will be able to correct their errors and ignorant approach towards sociological group and it’s important towards improving standard of living and other economic development in the country.

 

1.7 LIMITATION OF THE STUDY

      The limitation is as follows;

  1. They can be seen as the potential large cooperators in the future.
  2. they generally provides intimate harmonious work
  3. Environment where owners are on familiar terms, this tends to lead to fewer industrial disputes and reduces absenteeism.

It can be defined as the combination, explanation of what sociological group and development of national economy.

Sociological group: can be defined as two or more humans who interact with one and other share similar characteristics and collectively a sense of unity.

Development: can be defined when something grows or changes and become more advanced.

National: is defined as a typical of a whole country and its people rather than the part of that country or to other countries.

Economy: is the system of trade an industry by which the wealth of a country is made.
