I was eager to start the day, so I woke up before sunrise on Thanksgiving. As a way to kick off the day, I cooked a hearty meal for my loved ones and me. As has been custom on Thanksgiving morning, we all gathered around the television to watch the Macy’s Day Parade.

I got the Thanksgiving meal started once the parade was over. I toiled for several hours preparing a Thanksgiving feast, including a turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, green beans, and cranberry sauce. A pumpkin pie was the dessert I cooked. The place smelled wonderful, like Thanksgiving.

We sat down to a delicious meal and took a moment to reflect on our many blessings. We reminisced, feasted, and enjoyed one other’s company. Having the chance to celebrate this milestone with my loved ones was a blessing, and I am eternally appreciative for the experience.

After dinner, we all went for a stroll outdoors to take advantage of the pleasant autumn weather. We had fun in each other’s company as we engaged in a variety of games and activities. We finished off the night by watching a movie and eating more pie.

Generally speaking, I had a great time celebrating Thanksgiving with my family. Thanks to God, I was able to spend this holiday with my loved ones and count my many blessings.
