FREE ESSAY ON HOW I SPENT MY CHILDREN DAY IN NIGERIA

For kids in Nigeria, the celebration of Children’s Day is a day to look forward to each year. There are special events and activities planned for kids of all ages and they travel from all over the country to participate. I was looking forward to this day for a long time as a student at a Nigerian school, and I made sure I was well prepared to take part in all the festivities.

To celebrate Children’s Day, I got up bright and early and put on my best attire. I couldn’t wait to go out to the school playground and participate in the fun activities planned for us. As soon as I walked in, I could sense the buzz of anticipation among my friends, and I knew we were in for a great time. Students were addressed by the school’s principal during the opening ceremony, who emphasized the value of an excellent education along with the necessity of maintaining proper conduct and personal accountability.

After he finished talking, everyone stood and sung the national song and repeated the oath of loyalty. When the official business was finished, the fun games could begin. It blew my mind to see such a wide range of events planned for the kids. Games, dance-offs, trivia, and showcases of talent were all on the agenda. I was a bit of a chicken to try my luck at any of the games, but my pals persuaded me to take a chance.

I joined the sack race, which was both difficult and thrilling. Even though I came in last, I did my best and was awarded a medal for my efforts. It was time to kick back and unwind with a drink after all the fun and games. Popcorn, candies, and drinks were among the refreshments that had been prepared by the event’s organizers. There was plenty time for socializing, so we could catch up with old pals and create some new ones.

Just being a part of it made me feel like I was at a huge carnival. The talent show ended up being the highlight of the day. At first, I didn’t want to take part, but when I saw what my classmates were capable of, I changed my mind. There were acrobatic feats done, dances, and even some great vocal performances by kids. The bravery and originality that I saw among my contemporaries was inspiring.

When I saw my pals on stage, I knew I had to do something similar, so I got up there and read a poem I had written. I was terrified, yet the crowd was so supportive that I was able to go through my poetry without a hitch. Feelings of contentment and appreciation washed over me as the event came to an end.

I had had a wonderful day, filled with enjoyable experiences, new friendships, and important lessons. In addition to being a day for kids to let loose and make new friends, I also found that Children’s Day offered valuable educational and social opportunities. Every youngster should make the most of this opportunity to shine, as I did on Children’s Day in Nigeria. Today is a holiday honoring the wonders of childhood.
