FIRST AID STEPS FOR HANDLING VICTIMS THAT ARE EXHAUSTED

The first step is to relocate the person to a secure and comfortable area if they are in any danger or discomfort. If they are unconscious, you should make sure their head and neck are supported.

Make sure the sufferer is breathing regularly by checking their breathing. Immediately begin CPR if the person is not breathing. Assuming they are breathing, you should ensure that their airway is unobstructed and that they are in a relaxed state.

Third, give the sufferer water to drink slowly. This will prevent them from becoming even more exhausted and help them rehydrate.

Remove any unnecessary layers of clothes and use a moist towel or fan to cool the person down if they are hot. This will ensure that they maintain a healthy internal temperature and avoid heat fatigue.

Keep an eye on the sufferer and observe their respiration, heart rate, and state of consciousness. Seek quick medical assistance if their situation deteriorates.

Allow the sufferer to relax and heal in a safe and pleasant environment. Tell them to slow their breathing and loosen up their muscles. Pillows and blankets can be used as supplemental support.

Keep in mind that the victim’s well-being and protection must always come first. Seek emergency medical attention if you lack confidence in your ability to handle a certain circumstance.
